Tobishima

We arrived at the little island of Tobishima and tied off well to the concrete dock as a gale is supposed to blow in the following day. There were some squid boats here with their big lights and you can see a snow covered mountain on Honshu in the background

This is a small island but had some nice hiking along the seashore

as well as some well groomed trails through the forest up the mountain side

and pretty vistas along the way

as we descended near the village the tall grass along the steps had been trimmed in a way that it made a heart shape! These stairs are in place for the villagers to go up quickly in case of a tsunami alert

Tried out some rental eBikes. Definitely made going up the steeper parts of the road easier!!
